We were honored to host Bringing Hope to the Family founder Faith Kunihira’s return to the USA during the month of May. Highlights of her visit included events in Nashville, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, and Calabasas. (See photos below). All of these events nurtured existing partnerships, which have grown over the years, and fostered new donors, many who have chosen to walk alongside us with recurring monthly donations.

“One word frees us of all the weight and pain in life. That word is love.” – Sophocles. Greetings valued donors and friends. During this month as we celebrate love, we are reminded of our calling and purpose of helping those less fortunate.

Our generous donors have facilitated the construction of the Shalom House, a structure designed for and intended to house approximately 46 boys, 9-14 years of age. The square footage was increased to accommodate growth and a room for the House Mother, Margaret.

July is one of my most favorite times of year because it’s spent in Uganda with our sister organization, Bringing Hope to the Family Uganda. It’s a time to visit with the community of children and young adults who are under the care of the organization and to catch up on their many activities and accomplishments. We derive immense joy and satisfaction witnessing the positive impact our organizations have made over the last several decades.
